Experts believe that language immersion is the optimal technique to help your child to become fluent in a new language. The issue is throwing a child in an environment where they don't know the language at all. I've created a language learning tool to help prepare your child for language immersion school
I remember when I first traveled to a country by myself where I didn't speak the language, and it was intimidating. I'm not sure how kids feel about it but I admit that I developed this language learning machine for kids based on projecting my feelings of fear and anxiety when I was immersed in a language and culture I didn't understand. Language learning does not have to lead to fluency. As a child, I learned how to say numbers in 5 different languages, and I believe that vocabulary stuck with me because I learned it at such a young age.
As I traveled around the world as I got older, learning "travel phrases" really helped me to interact with locals and molded my cultural experience. I wish the same embracement for my children. So far, they have shown interest in learning many languages, not just one, and I want to encourage them to explore as many words and phrases as they wish to learn.
The issue is, I'm learning the words at the same time they are and we have not been able to find an interactive tool that allows us to learn the most popular, most easy phrases in the languages we'd like to learn. My language learning machine will help solve this through:
